Roadside assistance

I've just bought my new Griff - a most incredible motor, without question the best car I've ever driven. Most sports car owners look as miserable as sin, as for me I can't take the smile off my face (especially when I start it up and give it a few revs to clear its throat). Anyway, enough of my lustful automotive thoughts.

Question: I'd like to register for some sort of breakdown service (AA, RAC, Green Flag, etc) and was wondering whether people have got an opinion as to which of these services is most likely to get my motor back on the road in the event that it should ever decide to "take a sickie", so to speak? I also own a BMW 330 and Toyota (for the wife) - neither of which have ever broken down, so I've got no point of reference as to the best service. Couple this with the niche market of a TVR Griff, and I'm scratching my head somewhat. Any experiences from other Griff owners would be useful to hear.

I'm with RAC and called them out a few times. They have always been keen to get it back on the road. They will even talk through the problem with a TVR dealer is they can't fix it and you can contact one.

Response times have been very good as well.

I’m with Green Flag, I’ve only used them once and they were very good.

The thing is with a Griff it needs one of those low loader transporters. I told them this when I rang in and no problem. They picked me up well within the hour, took me home and then delivered the car next day to TMS which was 200 miles away. He did have a look at it by the road but it was well dead and I was happier to let the specialists have it.
