Hi all.
Just replaced the coolant hoses on my 5lt pre serp Griff. All went reasonably well, ran engine till got hot air from the heater, fans cut in so switched engine off. Went to start it again and nothing. No instrument lights, won't crank, no central locking but the alarm goes off every time I try and crank it.
Fuses all seem ok. I have never managed to find the in-line fusible link and its not on the chassis from what I can see. If I do have one on my car and it has blown, would it give the symptoms I have? It's a 1994.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Cheers, Stew.

Just been out and tried it hoping it had fixed itself over night but no, still the same.
Thought I would disconnect the battery and leave for a few minutes and reconnect. All back to normal. Don't know why it did it but had enough so going to go drive it and hope it starts. Effin thing is doing my head in lately. All part of the fun I guess!
Thanks for your help.

Recharging and then disconnecting the battery for a moment, reconnecting and then a restart sounds like you may have reset the immobiliser?Thought I would disconnect the battery and leave for a few minutes and reconnect. All back to normal..
Thanks Rob.
Will double check the battery at the weekend when I take it out to tidy up some wiring issues I have found. Not related to the fault but now I have seen them I need to sort them out.
Did think it may also be alarm related David, so will keep an eye on it and if it happens again a new alarm may be on the cards. At least I know what to do if it does play up again.
Thanks, Stew.
