I tried bleeding mine through the swirl pot but it didn't seem to work very well.

I set the expansion tank a the right level then put the top on. I filled the swirl pot and bled the radiator, topping up the swirl pot as I did then put the top on.

I then ran the car with the top off the expansion tank and let the air burp out of here. It helps that my drive is quite steep. I kept the engine at a fast idle which helped massively (I couldnt get any flow into the heater matrix at idle) and you could see and hear the air being expelled.

I am going to keep an eye on it though.
