I'm submitting an (internal) application at work, and I am happy with my Statement in Support of Application.

But: it is 879 words long (about 1.3 sides of A4).

Do you think this is too long.....?

Thanks.

Some would say yes, but as you're in the organisation already and know its procedures and culture, what do you think? In the absence of any other information, I always like to receive, and thus advise, 1 side containing 3 short paragraphs. Good luck!

Thanks.

Managed to reduce it to 876.... hehe

Struggling to see what I could drop, it all seems important!

Thanks for the replies.

It is for a management position. As the job description is 15 pages long, I felt less than 2 pages for a reply wasn't excessive. Anyhoo, submitted now......
