My offside lens has been shattered recently. I will be attempting to replace it. Seems like it may be a pain in the arse. In the responses to the above thread, Peterc kindly offered advice via email to justinbaker (offer may be open to others – I hope). Good luck.

thanks muchly for that. I have e-mailed Peter and happy to forward on any advice I receive to you if you haven't contacted him as yet. I may endeavour to change the front indicators for clear ones whilst I am at it.

Yes please.

17 hours of arduous labour combined with 3½ litres of blood loss is not something I look forward to.

Any advice offered would be appreciated.

Cowlings: At the top mine were just stuck with a load of sealant - so it was a case of carefully peel off and then restick after.

Lenses: The actual lenses are again just stuck in place - remember to re attach in same orientation as removed.

As for the reflectors - I never removed mine just carefully cleaned them up - vast improvement and when coupled with 80/100W bulbs, plenty bright enough.

Hope this helps.
