Thoughts on this 4.2 Cerbera, and dealer?
Discussion
Hi, I've started scouting about for a Cerbera, and this one has appeared at lower end of the budget..
colour is certainly an "Acquired taste" but at least at first glance it looks reasonable.
anyone care to comment on it, if you recognise it?
thanks

Used to belong to someone on here.. Name escapes me. So there will be plenty on info on it.
Excellent, thanks. Its the closest one to me, so I'm interested in viewing it, to get a feel for the cars etc. As you say I know that its a close knit group on here, so would be good to get some knowledge of it.
I'm not fussed re the colour- as C3ber alludes to below, condition is the key!

Very interested in the "rear electric windows".
Get it checked out because on the outside a cerbera can look amazing but peel back and a horror story can soon develop.
I'll get you some pics;)Get it checked out because on the outside a cerbera can look amazing but peel back and a horror story can soon develop.
May just be a typo, however, I'm hearing you re the chassis/outriggers. If I was going to buy it, I'd be getting it inspected prior to purchase.
thanks for the info so far gents!
I've seen a few cerbs posted on here recently and then seen them in the flesh. It's easy to get the bad news of a 5k first bill if your not careful. The WD program should be a wake up call for potential buyers who think they are cheap...they are not if you buy a bad one unknowingly. At least your getting it checked out, to many don't bother.
I started a thread on this one in Jan, its here:

I spoke to the owner, very friendly chap the car is basically as Scotty-d describes in the above thread. When I get home tonight I'll try to find the number for the last owner... Its been for sale for the best part of a year now, so I imagine they would be feeling good about an offer...

thanks for that- interesting if its had a later crank/bottom end fitted.
is the previous owner's username also Geo? would be interested to track down the gen on this car.
Also interesting its been sat so long- may be helpful re price..
As above this was "Geo" PHer user name - old car, most of the original engine remaining good parts are in my garage loft
George is the best man to talk with as it has had a fair bit of work with a replacement engine done. If your fairly local it's not far from me so if you would like to see a Cerbera in bits on a ramp with engine and gear box out your welcome to pop round for a look at mine to get a feel for them if not unfamiliar with cerbs mine has had of the things that tend to bite you now changed out .If you contact George i am sure he will be able to help you. He has been around TVR's for a long time and had most models now i think.

I can point out what to look for even if this one is not for you but i have seen the guts of the car above but, I said get in contact with George i am sure he will be able to help you. Thank you, a very generous offer.

I'm up in Glasgow, so only an Hr or so from where the car iis.
I'll need to do some man maths first though to see if I can justify it

I was seriously thinking about this when I was selling my chim but George needed it shifted to get his new car, it was meant to be going down south to a TVRCC member but that must of fallen through.
The trade in price was quite a bit lower than sticker so maybe some room to negotiate,
