battery drain when everything off
Discussion
my battery goes flat in about 2h when everything is off (tuscan2)
I cant find anything obvious draining it
I have disconected the battery and there is a 800mA load on it
that seems like a lot to me, I would have thought only a few mA to keep the electronics/alarm etc running
what would you expect the battery load to be with everything off?

Need to check parasitic current draw.

The guy doing the test comments on using the -ve side of battery - which makes sense to me and is explained in video.
800ma does seem pretty high...Have you checked your boot light is not remaining on? Could be the battery is fubar'd as well and not holding a charge.

If its the alternator, it will remain warm if its drawing current. I would suggest the boot light but 2hrs is going some for a boot light.
Not necessarily with that smaller drain disconnect the thick/main cable on the back of the alternator and insulate or pull the main fuse and recheck the drain over a period

If you're going flat in two hours with only an 800mA draw then I'd say to look at the battery itself too! (But 800mA itself is high...)
concur with this statement. I don't know what's fitted in yours, but I'd expect a fully charged battery to last over three days with that kind of drain. Gassing Station | General TVR Stuff & Gossip | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
