Blowing fuses

Hi can anybody help when turning the ignition on the ignition fuse blows,rev counter stuck at 3000 speedo stuck,no live at the coil.disconected coil replaced fuse turned ignition blows again any help would be brill before I start taking loom to bits

Greater knowledge along soon but, I have heard about the dreaded "Yellow Connector" under the steering column, could be shorting out? Maybe a check or tweak ?

Yellow connector is no more ,wires are soldered and heat shrunk

Something to do with your immobiliser maybe? Can you disconnect the alarm/immobiliser?

Pull the plug from the Tacho, if the fuse still blows its shorting somewhere around the coil loom.
ISTR that the feed also goes to the fuel pump relay too, the short may be there?

Didn't someone recently have the fuel pump relay casing full of water?
Different symptoms but worth checking if initial systematic diagnosis doesn't work.
ETA Seized fuel pump?
( I don't have the wiring diagram to hand at the moment, just postulating. )

That was me, with flooded relays, luckily it only shorted out and ran the fuel pump until the battery went flat. No fuses were harmed in the incident.!

Wiring problem finally sorted after much tape removal ,wire testing and cutting,the fault was the speedo sensor wire had dropped down on top of exhaust box and burnt allowing to earth out ! Only Tvr would use the same fuse as the main feed to the coil

TVR, notorious for bad earth's....... until you don't want one

Anything is possible with a TVR, expect the unexpected.
