Which camcorder should I get?

Apologies if this is a perennial topic, but I've searched and can't find a relevant thread.

I want a camcorder and am rather confused as what to get.

HD I suppose as that seems available at a fairly low entry point, beyond that priorities are:

- Wide angle lens setting more important than telephoto
- Macro ability if possible
- Flip screen so I can see myself when recording
- Good quality microphone or ability to attach an external microphone
- Stills are not important, I have a DSLR for that

Price, I suppose I'm looking to spend about £200-£250, though will go to double that if it's worth it and won't turn my nose up at anything cheaper if it does what I want.

Any advice pointing me in the right direction is appreciated, there are endless sites online but they just list features and then price, none of them really seem to be saying "This is the one you want" unless your only criterion is price.
