Blood test - bad bruising?
Discussion
Bit of a funny one really… I had my bloods taken last Thursday and today I’ve noticed that the needle site is really bruised and my vein from the site, running around 6 ½ inches is bruised in colour but not to the touch – only the needle site is sore to the touch.
I did remember when she did it, she went really deep and started off quite far out from the vein – usually when I’ve had my bloods taken it wasn’t as painful.
Could any complications arise from this or is it worth reporting this particular nurse?

Okay cool no worries - as I say, at the time I did think 'why are you going so deep with the needle?' - but I assumed being a nurse and performing no doubt thousands of blood tests before she knew what she was doing. Big vein popping out and she decides to start a good half inch away from the vein and go right inside my arm.
