Well I've had the 96 Chimera 400 for about 4 months now and surprise surprise the acceleration doesn't seem that impresive any more. I crave more!
Keep thinking about a Chimera 500, now what I can't decide is to try and sell my present one and then try and find a 5litre version or just get a bigger engine upgrade.
Does anyone know what the differences between the 4 and 5 litre cars are.
I guess it'll probably include bigger brakes and bigger radiator but are things like the gearbox and dif the same.

buy a 5 litre, trust me, upgrading is a non starter financially and would probably be hard to shift when you come to sell

about his speedo reading 170 - he said
it was actually recording about 250 and that
he just had rely on the Aston speedo !

Did the same excercise about 6 months ago I had a 98R 4.0L so new chassis, 5.0l Brakes and all later mods. We did the figures and it was going to cost about £5,000 including buying a second hand engine from Tim lamont of ACT and having David Batty fit it.
In the end I decided that it was hard enough tring to sell an excelent 4.0L (due to wasters idiots and test pilots) let alone trying to sell a modified 4.0L /5.0L.
So traded in the 4.0L for a 5.0L at a dealer who were great and gave us a pretty good deal, better than we would have got by selling the 4.0L privatly and buying a 5.0L privatly and no hassle due to wasters idiots and test pilots.
Now we have the car we wanted in the colour we wanted a late 99 5.0L and we love it but now I just seem to need more power time to go and visit ACT again!!!!!
