Just let them know the type you have an they will supply the correct rear bracket. They also need to know when supplying the clutch and starter.
I also have that box.
6 gears are not necessary with the torque you get from the Chevy.
If I ever need to rebuild my box I will get a nice tall 6th gear as my current rev limit of 6500 would (in theory) only take me to 190mph. 200 would be nice.
G_man will get over the 200 because his engine is built to pull silly revs (circa 8000).

Bouncing off the rev-limiter(6200) on the the straight at Spa,the speedo and the GPS says 167mph. Hope to see you big number boys next year!! BTW the limiter is a precaution
B1 ECC do you run a G50-20, you speed equates to 27mph per 1000 revs, when I did my calcs years ago that was the number I got on a G50-20, based on than my top speed would be
205 mph at 7600 rpm
216mph at 8000rpm unlimited
Of course this is just theoretical cause no-one would drive their car to the max on public roads, would we

Is anyone still using the G50-50 box. I would recommend that as it is a sliver under 30mph/1000 revs, giving me 180 at 6000 revs or 186 at 6200, a nice neat 300kph. Good for impressing the Europeans and good for long distances also. As Steve says, the torque is enough to make 6 speeds redundant.
Is the 50-20 the cable operated box?

The 50-20 is not cable.
Have a play with this for gear calcs.
You will need the ratios. I have some for the 50/20, 50/52 & 50/00.
Steve
Edit...GDR the 'box strip is quite involved and requires a number of special tools. Whether you need them all just to change the diff is a different matter.

How easy is it to change diff ratio on a G50 box? Are different ring & pinions readily available, special tools needed for dismantling and assembly etc etc? Or is this best left to a specialist. Stretching the final drive on my G50/03 by 15% or so is on my wish list.
Not easy, although it can be done, you need a serious toolbox, a press, and lots of pullers. Oh' and a really methodical way of working. Did I mention patience !!
