So, after reading some historical Chimaera posts about outriggers, I came across this -

Diff bush needs replacing: £300

A common issue, drive it on/off on the power & listen for transmission clonks.

Now, when I change gear, lifting off the clutch and re-engaging the accelerator I do sometimes hear a bit of a clonk. I just assumed this was normal, but I am now suspecting this is not the case?

Put it in 1st whilst stationary. Lift the clutch a little without gas (not so much that it stalls). Does it clonk then? Do you feel this clonk in your arm through the center console?

May be your diff mount. My bushes turned out to be fine but the diff mount...Hmm...

Thanks! I'll give that a go when I get it back from its service tomorrow. I can't say I remember it doing it in 1st actually, but it wasn't something I was really looking for.

My clunk is after throttling off then pressing throttle again. Guessing its the diff?
