Apologies if this seems too disgusting, I don't think it is though.

I woke up last night at about 2am. Felt weird with a painful and odd stomach feeling.

I got to the bathroom and suddenly felt like my gut was being twisted, ripped apart and instantly started to sweat.

Strait away, all of my body went very heavy, struggled to move to sit down on the toilet and when I did, the pain didn't subside.

I felt like I was in serious trouble and couldn't even speak, I just groaned and tried not to be sick and stay awake/conscious.

After about 2 minutes, I passed a lot of stool and spent the better part of another 2 minutes trying to breathe and calm down.

Struggled to stand again, feeling really heavy, looked in the mirror, noticed my face was white, pupils were maxed out dialated.

Crawled to bed and woke up this morning.

Anyone have any ideas?. It really scared me and thankfully, the GP is available on 24th.

I dont mean to trivialise what you felt but but ive had something similar a few times when ive been layed on the sofa relaxing, jumped up to take a leak, and gone lighthead/heavy body and nearly fainted/blacked out, then stumbled around a bit and been in a bit of pain as the blood in my system tries to sort itself out.

Is this the first time you've had a vindaloo?

I did a ghost chili wing challenge (that I completed by the way!!) a few months back and I had a similar experience.

I had a chiro booked for midday. I first got on the toilet about 9am. I thought won’t be an issue.

I drove down to my appt and actually couldn’t get out of the car. I had to go straight home and do my damnest not to empty my internal organs out into my calvin kleins.

A whole day wasted to the toilet. I must have gone through 3 loo rolls.

Never had a Orthostatic Hypotension before though. I didn't jump up, I slowly got out of bed.

It's got to be something to do with a sudden bowel flux. I've had that before but never THAT painful or with the accompanying feeling of passing out.

Just what I was gonna say. Also - constipation HURTS. Stiff log trying to work its way round a bend... can be plenty painful enough to cause cold sweat etc all on its own. So it could 'just' have been that.

Whenever it's happened to me I just put it down to a bit of Delhi belly (although I've had it worse after 'fresh' seafood). All those symptoms but you forgot lying prostate on the cold floor tiles, shivering and sweating. Once it's out then all is well in the world, I certainly don't go to the doctor for it. Your bowels may vary smile
