I did a search but found nothing, could someone let me know how to get it off? Locations of bolts etc plus anything to look out for/pitfalls.

Scraped mine a little bit so want to get it off so I can sort it out and make sure it's fitted properly!

Thanks thumbup

Two allen bolts, one at the left edge and one at the right edge holding the side tabs to the body - easy to spot if you look under the car. Two bolts at the front centre holding the air scoop to the supporting brakets (you'll need two spanners for these 10mm if I remember correctly), and three allen bolts on the rear upper inward facing lip which you have to access through the middle and two side large perforations. Undo in that order and as you let the final three bolts out gently lower the diffuser down to rest on the exhaust. Worth putting an old blanket under it as the front edge may drop down to the ground and scratch.

The bolts are allen head and will probably be quite rusty. Recommend buying some new stainless steel ones from Ebay for a couple of quid and just putting some grease on the threads when putting back together.

How many scrapes do you have on your diffuser? I ended up putting skid plates on the front edge and two rear lower fins as it's virtually impossible to avoid damage to these areas without.

Craigcaf- the two brackets at the front of the splitter that you mentioned, were never fitted to mine. When I bought the car with 7k on the clock and drove it above 80, the splitter scooped the air and bowed down until it touched the road! I was a bit annoyed to start with but then realised that the first owner obviously hadn't driven the car hard, or it would have been mentioned and fixed. Fernhurts's fix was to use two thick cable ties instead which have held it ok on the autobahn!
I don't suppose anyone has a picture of what these brackets look like?
Thanks. Belly

Hi Belly, the brackets are quite simple pieces of bent steel plate. They are both the same and although RG list them, they are NLA. But you could make some really easily. I think that the top piece bolts up with the exhaust central hanger, if I remember correctly. I'll see if I can get some photos this weekend. I'm not surprised that the diffuser hit the ground without them, they are pretty flexible and flimsy. Craig

Here's those pictures of the diffuser brackets that I promised - sorry it took a few days to get these posted. Hope they help. Craig
