Hi,
I've had the Cayenne S for 11.5K miles now since last December and the average is about 17 MPG. This is the wifes car, so it's lots of short journeys to the shops etc with our baby.
If you were motorway driving all the time, I would expect 19-20 MPG MAX!!
That said, now the car is well run in, the engine is a revving peach that if you drive it like me, then expect no more than 12 MPG!

My Cayenne S has averaged 17.8mpg in the last 3000 miles since I've had it, that has been a mix of all sorts of driving...
For example I went to Brands the other day which was a 360 mile round trip, virtually all of that mway. The way down we were pushing on and averaged 13.4mpg. On the way back I tried hard and I think I just about managed 22mpg, but thats very rare!
I think he was having a laugh to suggest you would see 22mpg on a regular basis.
On the other hand the car is totally amazing, I can honestly say I haven't missed my 911 once since I swapped...I'm a total convert! Go buy it and I assure you that you won't regret it!
