Is it possible to make a db7v sound more like a db9 or vanq?
Discussion
I tried it with my DB7 Vantage at a couple of good exhaust shops... the DB9/DBS exhaust system has a surprising amount of valving and pipework in that backbox to give it that burble and distinctive sound.
I had a very free flowing sports system and race cats on there, but the best you could say of it was that it was 'loud'. So in short no... unless you were to have a DB9 backbox fitted, although you would struggle for space on the back end of a Seven

Define 'wannbee Ferrari' George? Ferrari haven't copywrited the sound of the pitch of a V12.
You want low and rumbling, you get a V8 like the children have.
What I mean by wannabe Ferrari is a high pitched, screaming V12 sound. Aston's should sound brutal and deep toned. Hence by fitting a Larini system, you want to try and emulate the Ferrari V12 sound (quite why you would want to change the Aston sound is beyond me).You want low and rumbling, you get a V8 like the children have.
You can also get screaming V8s too btw...

so it might be a while.

rather than sounding fantasticly burbly and deep

and his car definitely would not be mistaken for a Ferrari - pure Aston but very loud
