I know it's common sense, but all of us buy stuff on the net and cycling clothing in particular often gets sent back because the sizing is a bit of a lottery. I purchased a jacket from Wiggle about a month ago which it turns out they didn't have in stock and it's been discontinued. I e-mailed them to cancel the order and they confirmed that this had been done and a refund would be issued. When I checked today I'd still not been refunded so I sent them an e-mail this morning. They said sorry and sent the refund straight away which is fair enough, but do check!

You do anticipate the odd problem from big companies but you expect better customer service from the smaller outfits. I received a jacket from Shutt VR which didn't fit, again about a month ago. When asked for a refund it took them 10 days to get back to me with regards the refund procedure and two weeks after returning the jacket I still haven't had a refund. Really shabby service.

Prendas may not have a fancy website with arty shots of their gear, but at least they know a few things about customer service!

I've had this before with Wiggle.

Never ordered from them since and that was a few years ago.

I've bought dozens of items of cycling clothing online and never had to send one back.

Check the sizing charts and look for reviews which say "Comes up small, buy a size up"

I think it's my non-racing snake build. I've not had too much bother but I definitely find cycle clothing harder to gauge than regular togs.
