Ran the supercharged Z there earlier this year.

You get loads of runs if you want, the strips fine to run on, but getting down the access road will take a lot of care and patience as it's pot holed to say the least.

I've also run my GSXR and the only car I think that can stay with a bike is stuff running V large V8's with Nos, blowers AND big fat drag racing slicks or Macca's etc. My best is a 10.4@139 mph (so far) with the bike geared down (costs about £10 for a smaller front sprocket).

It's near Melbourne and if you want to the Murty's that run it would bill it as an event if enough PHers car's turned up I think (met them at Ripspeed Donny).

I used to live about 1/2 mile away from it so they would throw free tickets in our direction every now and again just to say sorry for the noise of jet engines firing up at 2 o' clock on a Sunday afternoon!!

Well worth the day out for a tenner, only ever taken a "slightly" tweaked Volvo T-5R down the strip tho'. You do tend to get some interesting motors there, nothing quite like watching a Chevette taking on a twin engined Golf.....

Been going since the place opened, (and Santa Pod since 1970).

I recommend it to anyone for a great day out, whether you 'run wot you brung' or not.

I totally agree. You don`t have to race, it`s good just to go and watch the racing and stroll around the pits checking out the cars and bikes. I`ve done that loads of times but I`ve raced quite a few times too. You need the weather on your side though.
