Quick Insurance Advice
Discussion
So after being with MSM for the last 2 years who were very helpful and polite people and also came in the cheapest this year they've not been able to come up with the goods again. My premium seems to have dropped by about 40% !!!!
After the last two years of Adrian Flux giving utterly ludicrous quotes they've come in cheapest this year with Classic Line in second. However I hear lots of bad things about Flux so I'm after advice on which to choose.
Flux £540 with breakdown but no trackday cover
Classic Line £570 with breakdown and trackday cover.
I would like to do one this year as i haven't done one in the TVR yet.
The other complication is both of those include breakdown, but I think the AA breakdown and garage cover is an excellent product so I don't mind getting that separately, but then prices are:
Flux £485
Classic still £570.
This seems a much bigger gap.
Thoughts anyone please
Thanks

I'd not been keen on Flux as I'd seen some bad reports but I tried them for a quote and have to say that I have been pleased with their price and also the service both during taking out the insurance and also since. When I've had a question I've had answers within a few hours by email so no complaints at all.
Classicline quoted me a higher price (with the same insurer - Equity Red Star) but they had some sillies in the details (eg you always have to carry a spare wheel/tyre and 2 sets of keys - seems silly to me as no restrictions about that so could conveniently have the keys on the same ring ... doh!!) which I wasn't happy with so I asked them by email about them and didn't even get a reply - interestingly the breakdown also supplied by ERS from Flux didn't have the same silly bits in (you do need to take a spare set of keys when abroad but I can get my mind round that) and Flux actually talked to the breakdown people for me and said using an inflation kit was not a problem for them. So as they were about £50 cheaper I went with Flux.
I guess you need to evaluate the quotes and look at the detail as that is what gets you on some cases.

Sadly Mannings weren't even close - they were about £1300!!
Jimed, thanks for that. That was the kind of thing I was looking for, silly things to ask but make a big difference, I got the same quote with the same insurer through 2 brokers but one asked for a tracker and the other didn't. Little things that make a huge difference.
