Good Italian Restaurant, South Kensington

The PH good food lovers have been so helpful in the pastI thought I'd ask for another recommendation.

Mrs Charmless and I will be in and around South Kensington this Saturday and would love to hear any recommendations for a good independent Italian restaurant. I realise we've left it a bit late for anywhere that gets booked up but any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not too worried about budget, not being flash i just don't get out often! Anything quirky/interesting/authentic would be perfect.

Hop in a cab to Zafferano in Belgravia. You probably won't get in, but it has to be worth asking.

The food there is exquisite.

Family run, local favourite. Authentic tasty food, friendly staff and decent prices. Always a pleasant evening.
