Hi all, I've just found, in the back of my fridge one of those microwave chicken burgers.

The same sort of thing as a Rustlers burger.

Its sell by date is 12-04 13 one week out of date

Will it be ok if I microwave it today, or will I be ill.

Many thanks.

Cheers, just checked and it is USE by, not sell by.

I'm too young to die, not sure if I should eat it or not.

I'd eat it.

(Well-nuked in the microwave first.)

Those things are chock full of preservatives and stuff so I reckon it'll be fine. As MC says, nuke the st out of it first and chow down.

Best to leave the packaging and a small sample of the food in the top of the kitchen bin, just in case.

Isn't the shelf life of those things measured in months? I doubt it will be any more risky than it was a week ago.

Is that so the hospital can check what bacteria was in it.

Well, I'm going to eat it when I get home from the pub, later.

One more question for you, I've got two of them. Can I freeze one and eat it next week, don't
think I could eat two tonight.

The meat bit (term used VERY loosely!) will be fine. Check the bread for any signs of mould. Knowing the process of packaging at their plants I'd guess at it being fine, but variable temperatures can alter things. No mould=nuke it.

You still alive? If not, it wasn't the burger that killed you.

LOL, at Pints, Still alive, and thanks to the rest of you for the advice.

Will the frozen one be ok to eat, next week?
