I've been contacted by Getty to licence one of my images via Flickr, but I'm wondering if there's any way I can restrict the use of the image once it's licensed - for example it wouldn't be used in an STI add campaign or some such scratchchin

I think getty normally dont offer images to controversial campaigns/uses unless they get the ok from the copyright holder.

Getty though are lots of hastle for little return.

I've found it pretty hassle free with Getty... It can be a slow process building up a collection through Flickr but once you have sales aren't bad at all

Thanks Rob, that puts my mind at rest. I currently have one image licensed already, it's been with them for about 2 years but no sales yet. I'm not trying to push sales really it's just a nice to have. Would you recommend anywhere better?

This would be my second image with them, so hardly a collection yet!

Rome wasn't built in a day! To answer the original question, once you agree to add it to Getty you have no say in how it is licensed
