Insurance Agreed Value
Discussion
Hi all, I'm at ins renewal time and was wondering how or if agreed value works in the event of a no fault claim, ie the claim goes through the 3rd partys' insurer, do they honour your agreed value or just put their own value on it, and you end up with a lower payout?
As a related aside, spoke with Mannings yesterday re renewal, I did have to remind them about my credit due for using laid up cover for this winter just gone and that reminder dropped the renewal figure by £75. I was 2 months tardy with notifying them about laying up the car, so could have saved more still! Renewal now stands at £225 for 3k miles, with £18k agreed value, no commute, 2nd car, garaged, some track use, classic policy. Low enough not to bother sniffing about for an alternative?
