As title really, will a every day domestic Cat kill a Rabbit, or is a Rabbit to big and the Cat will just piss about with it?

We've a Bengal cat and a rabbit. The rabbit had constant free run if the garden. The cat comes and goes as it pleases. It chases the rabbit now and again but there's never been anything to worry about.
The rabbit just keeps munching on the grass.

Yes, a cat will quite easily catch and kill rabbits. I wouldn't count on the cat bringing the evidence home though, unless you have a very large cat.

Our old cat caught and ate rabbits all the time. We used to find the odd bit of fur or rabbit tail around the place quite often.

Now that she's died, the bloody rabbits are overrunning the place. I need an air rifle!

Mrs envy's cat takes on urban foxes, it's yet to kill one but he's had a few good scraps.

Will obviously depend on the size of both animals and the personality of the cat but I would say that a cat could quite easily kill a rabbit

Depends if it's a migrating rabbit.

Ours caught two rabbits in it's time. Two baby ones that it brought into the house to show off, no idea how it got them through the cat flap!

Our cats used to kill rabbits all the time. Also, my brothers cat has killed a weasel, which is a far trickier prospect than a rabbit...so I'd say the rabbit doesn't stand much of a chance.

Yeah, fairly easily if the cat has the inclination. Scots wildcats take adult rabbits all the time!

Our cat can barely catch and kill a 1-legged mouse. Lazy, unappreciative bd.

Does a fine job of sharpening its claws on my garden gate though.

I've seen cats wrestling rabbits to the ground.

As kids we had 3 cats and a rabbit. In the interests of science we put a cat and our fairly large male rabbit in a green house to see what occurred. I was expecting the cat to look at the rabbit and think burgerbut what actually happened was the rabbit looked at the cat and thought sperm then proceeded to rape it.

I have found dead rabbits in our lounge on several occasions. It's either the cat or they are cutting their own throats after seeing my wallpaper choices...

We have a pet rabbit and a cat. The cat is probably to young to come to any conclusions about her ability to kill it, but she certainly has killer instincts. Will jump on the rabbits back and bite its neck etc, but I'm unsure if its just playing rough as she is probably still technically a kitten. And Floyd doesn't fight back.

The neighbourhood cats on the odd time where I've witnessed them, just look at Floyd curiously, and run away when he chases them.

We never leave him outside unsupervised thou, I've got no doubt a cat could kill him.
