Hi All

Excuse my ignorance here, but should the exhaust be a single piece from the base of the Y piece to the tail tip? I noticed that one side was sitting lower than the other yesterday. Grovelled underneath and noticed a couple of clamps before the diff (going from the front to the rear of the car). It seems the rear section of the exhaust is slottig into where these clamps are. They were really badly corroded so have obviously been there for a while, it was difficult to see what was slotting into what.

I'll attempt to grab a photo when I can.

Normal?

To level, loosen the clamp at the bottom of the Y piece, twist the tailpipes untill level and reclamp.

My UK original exhaust was 1-piece from the Y section back.
My aftermarket ACT sleeved one came in 3 sections. 1st section from Y piece to just behind the cherry bombs then the 2 separate rear tail pipe sections are clamped on as in this pic.

Hmm, oh well looks like thumbsnap thing is on the blink...heres a dropbox link instead.

Aha, thanks for this. I think this must be a similar setup to mine, separate tail pieces. The clamps have totally rotted away and it's hanging/twisting the near side exhaust. I think the exhaust itself is fine, just the clamps that have gone.

Thanks all for your responses.

Mine wasn't cut right from the get-go and I've had to clamp it up all wonky just to get it to appear straight out the back. Check the different positions of the hanger clamps in that pic! Terrible.
