Stripped driveshaft.
Discussion
I got a Toyota MR2, the car has a stripped driveshaft at the very end of spline.
The 5mm area before the clip groove. Is it ok if I file it down so I can slide it down the cv joint with clip on. it still has clip groove but spline teeths are at wrong places.
Similar to this one, the shaft is more alike to the one in left one.

if the splines/teeth are different it won't fit your gearbox
Sorry I read your post incorrectly, let me try again,
If you file the splines down on the end of the shaft you won't be able to line it up with the diff, and you will highly likely break something.
It would be much easier and cheaper and more sensible to just go and buy a new or good used CV
