New Porsche Owner!... with problems :(
Discussion
Hi all!
New to the piston heads forum and was wondering if a little help would be available.
I'm a 20 year old male and always wanted a porsche... and no better place to start other than buy a Boxster, for insurance purposes.
So I went out and bought a 1998 Boxster 2.5 for £2750 with 156000 miles, full service history and really clean interior. It has a few bumps and scrapes but nothing that my local body show shop can't fix!
Now with the amount of mileage I was expecting to have some problems...
When I first purchased the car it was running very smooth, it had a new clutch fitted 2 months ago, ignition coils fitted at 150000 miles and a full porsche service at 145000.
And now the car is starting to become very rough when idle, has started cutting out and its now misfiring. I've also had some error codes pop up on my diagnostics unit - p0300 , p0304 , p0305 and p0306.
I cleared the codes and they haven't come back but the car is still misfiring. Today I took the coils off and cleaned all the contacts and cleaned up the spark plugs, The car is still misfiring.
My exhaust has also started fluttering? I think it may be blowing a bit...
Does anyone here know what I could try next perhaps?
