Help oil leak after service
Discussion
I had my 993 serviced about a month ago and it has been sitting in the garage until yesterday when i decided to take it out.
I noticed a small puddle of oil on the garage floor.
It appears to be coming from the right hand side of the car just in front of the rear wheel arch.
When looking underneath there appears to be a plastic cover that covers the area where the doorsill meets the wheelarch.
Im obviously annoyed as the car has not been used since the service and in the 5 years I have owned it has never leaked before.
Im not technically minded but has anyone got any ideas what it could be?
Would it be the one of the oil filters?
Thanks

thats where the oil tank and thermostat are located - might be as simple as a loose drain plug or maybe they didnt use a new crush washer and its weeping a bit? 15mm spanner on the drain plug should tell you if its loose, a slight nip tighter might help.
There are other various pipes and hoses leading to and from the oil tank which can also go a bit crispy and leak, some of these pipes are cheap and easy to change, others can be more complicated and expensive.
hope that helps?
