Hi All,

I lost my lovely Griffith 500 P420BPF a year and a half ago after 8 years and much, much care, to a rear end shunt from a monkey in an Astra. The old devil was written off. The 'perp' went through 5 gardens and into a canal. I almost regret pulling him out but he was screaming with such vigour by the time I got to him it would have taken a cold hearted man to have watched the waters rise..

I know that it was salvaged for £8000 and returned to the road. If I wanted to track it down and buy it, with who's help and how should I go about tracking it down?

I sorely miss 'Old Satan", He was once very potent thanks to Austec..(the TVR Power boss said he was the best sounding 500 he had EVER heard!) but constant red lining and an ' hydraulicing' in a deep ford meant he had to be put out to pasture for light duties only and he rattled rather for ever after. Hence I let the insurers take him when the shunt happened and did not buy back. Also I am restoring a 60's prototype and the cash was handy....

Now absence has warmed my heart and I miss the damnable creature once again and would take it back if it is not a Frankenstein's monster.

All help is massively appreciated. I know what I hope to do makes no fiscal sense, but when was TVR ownership ever sensible?

Many thanks for all help amateur or profesional

Oliver
