2006 C Class 220CDI Auto Radiator

Thinking about keeping the car for another couple of years but a little concerned about the radiator. I understand that on a E class of a similar age the auto transmittion oil cooler forms part of the radiator and due to leakage caused by corrosion can cause cross contamination with the engine coolant. This happened to somebody I know and it ruined his gear box. Should I worry about this.

A rad change to a Nissens or Behr one resolves the issues, but on a 2006 car the upgrade was done and rads are fine on those.
