Fast Idle when warm
Discussion
Yes I have noticed an intermitant idle fault mine (Griff 500) takes a few seconds to settle down to idle when hot.
It can go as high as 1400 rpm but always settles between 900-1000rpm after maybe a 20 secs and does not always happen, so not really much of a problem but would be nice to rectify.
All other aspects are ok runs good from cold, does not stall etc.
Any ideas??

This has been done to death on this and the Chimeara forums. Most likely culpret for intermittent high idle is sticky stepper motor, a wrong throttle pot setting (higher voltage at idle than it should be), a wrong signal from the TVR speedo conversion unit- this unit is very prone to ground noise, and it can be enough to trigger a car moving signal even when the car is stationary, so the ECU holds the idle high. Aparently corroded earth straps can be enough to trigger it. If you want to get technical you really need RoverGauge or ECUmate to check the ECU input signals.
