Found this red herring in the passenger footwell on the way to my heater ECU tonight. Anybody know what it is? Not that I need to know but it might break one day...

Something to do with the aircon, I am not sure exactly what, as I don't have one or aircon !

That's the heater rotary thermostat according to the 'web. No idea what it does other than it being a rotary thermostat for the heater :-)

Thanks guys. Controls how cold the AC gets (after a quick Google). Too cold, condenser ices up, too warm, no cold air!

Yep, in a nut-shell alters the temperature set point of the air conditioning.
