Punto 1.2, 2001 cambelt question.

My Son has a 2001 1.2 Punto ELX, done around 80k with vague recent service history.

Will be doing service soon including cambelt change as we don't know when/if it was changed. My question is; do these have an 'interference' engine with regard to valves? I have heard not.

The likelihood of engine destruction or simple breakdown makes a difference to the urgency of changing the belt for him.

Anyone know?

IIRC, it's a 1242cc fire unit, and will be non interference.
