Somewhere for brunch in Hampstead / Belsize Park?

I am best man for my mate who is getting married this Saturday in Belsize Park and we want to have a gents brunch before the big event as a nice start to the morning.

Can anyone recommend somewhere in the area that would be nice? No greasy spoons....

went to Chez Bob on the high st nr Belsize Pk tube a while back. similar to Giraffe, but less child-orientated.

Otherwise I'd recommend Cote Brasserie (decent chain) on the high st near Hampstead Station. Not sure what the pubs in the area might offer for breakfast

glad it hit the spot. Being based in central London there aren't many decent breakfast spots that don't break the bank/aren't pure greasy spoon

Ginger & White is NOT a greasy spoon. It is an excellent new wave (i.e. good coffee) cafe.

It is a bit cramped though if you are a biggish group.

The Horseshoe is a good bet with lots of space and good beer.

Cote is pretty poor, I think. The food is dull. Aubaine next door is rather better.

£7.50 for a full english @ Cote vs £12-16 for a full french @ Aubaine lol - think they might be aimed at different markets. Glad it's replace goldfish, they went badly downhill

Goldfish has reopened on the other side, where Hi Sushi was (pretty sure they are under the same ownership).

yeah they are. hadn't realised it had moved - even happier Hi Sushi has gone! amazed the pile em high sell em cheap has worked so well in hampstead, guess there's not many decent restaurants there to compete.

Agreed, and yet we lost Dach & Sons to high rents. The new pizza place is great. The new Italian further up Heath Street, Quest, is doing around two covers a day, so I expect a short life. The menu looks dull.
