We are meeting at the Hartshead Moor Services (Westbound M62 - south of Bradford)
this Sunday for a scenic run down together to The Chatsworth Gathering

Usually 30-40 TVRs which we take over Holme Moss and on some great Derbyshire roads
We have even managed to all stay together all the way there

Meet at 9am for a 9.15 prompt departure
Approx 1.5 hour drive inc a couple of "catch up" stops

Everyone is welcome to join us (just please PM me so I know numbers)

Cheers

Roughly what time will you be going up the moss. I could meet you at the top if that is one of your catch up points and join you from there. M

Dickie, will you be going over the damn on the devil's elbow road into glossop? If so, I could meet up with you at windy harbour on the way to glossop? Or maybe Victoria st on the way out of glossop

the strines !! Blimey your brave. Great road but god the surface is bad. Car will be shook to bits, having said that the hairpin on the 1:10 hill would be interesting!

Hi Robert, agreed I do try to avoid it but I live that side of Holmfirth and its the quickest route to the peaks. And yes that corner is done with the right foot not the steering wheel. It was the same in my Capri.

Speaking of Holme Moss a word of warning. I'm sure some of you drive over it all the time but beware, just off the summit there is a really nasty dip on the road. A real sump buster or bumper ripper!!! Don't get up to speed till your on the first decent straight. When you hit it you will deffinatly know. If i meet with you i will remind you but if not BE WARNED!!!!!!

Thanks for all the replies guys and as mentioned all are welcome to join us.
There is hardly a better sight and sound than a gaggle of TVRs on the Derbyshire roads to Chats

At the moment I have 15+ TVRs of my WY members signed up to start from Bradfordistan
(which in usual TVRCC terms means 30 if the weather is good as forecast)
and have run with 35-40 in the past and stayed together all the way

We stop once thru Huddersfield to get back into formation
then have a stop and photo call at the top car park on Holme Moss (usually a big squash)

Then a steady run on B6105 into Glossop, then A624 and A623
and straight to the Pasty Van as we arrive

Sounds like a good run is forming again already

Cheers

I will try and tag on, either meeting you in Holmfirth near the traffic lights or at the top of Holme Moss.

Sorry mate I am picking a friend up already in Holmfirth to come down with me

You are quite welcome to join us for the run down in whatever car
(usually non TVRs follow at the back admittedly!! haha)

Remember the TVR Car Club is "for anyone with an interest in TVRs" (and not just owners)

Don't worry - my wife could keep up in her VW Beetle on this run

We normally keep 35-40 TVRs together on this run, so don't do any real speed

Cheers Graeme

We do have a route planned and practiced - which works really well
with some good fast(60mph)roads, where we can keep a big group together

Snake Pass was suggested in the past, but I think was ruled out as full of speed cameras?
