Hi
Thought I'd whack up some pics of 'Alf' my 323 GTI
These are one of the forgotton 'Hot Hatch' brigade.
It's the 1.8 16V twin cam with forged crank and oil sprayed pistons, but is a very rare pre cat JDM BP spec, with a more aggressive BP22 inlet cam and high comp pistons with H beam rods. 74,000 miles on the clock with a full service history from new.
It has a few scrapes ( the previous owner gave up driving at 85 and he had had it for 22 years!)But its just cosmetic.
I'm torn between uprating everything or keeping it standard. It's believed this could be the only pre cat GT in the UK, but is never going to be as sought after, as say an RS Turbo so we'll see.
Cheers
Daz.

That's fantastic OP. I would definitely look at keeping it standard though, it just seems too rare to mess with

Excellent - I agree with keeping it original. With a bit of work, you could have a show car on your hands smile

You need to keep that stock. I also agree that it could be a potential show car. Very cool. smile

Slammed on 19s, you should be able to fibreglass some forest arches on that too! Top off with a flamer kit.

Seriously though, it deserves keeping standard, then it'll pay you back some day.

Seriously agree with those saying keep it standard. Far too many Japanese hot hatches, sportscars, rally specials, etc have been modified beyond belief.

Such a rare thing in such good nick deserves to be kept exactly that way.

Love things like this.

Sorry shes a minger.
The older model with 4wd and a turbo was uber cool. Shoot me down but i think its horrible.

Keep that standard please. It'll never be a mainstream classic but will always attract attention. Any 323s of that era are rare now.
