Bonnet straps / retainers. 1971 Vixen.

Hi, what do people use as bonnet straps or retainers other than the bonnet resting on the floor?
I have nice bumpers so dont want that option realy.
Any pics would be nice to see.

I use Mini boot lid check straps, I'll grab a photo when I get home...

Below shows the checkstraps in place, by way of overkill (and a reaction to the consequence of the straps failing) there are 2 straps each side. The picture shows the bonnet not fully open hence the straps are not taut.

The very same, readily available and seem to work well. As they are plastic coated they also self stow well although I'm not sure of the plastic coating also hiding corrosion. Another reason to have more than one :-)

I checked the Vixen Tonight and this is what I found looks a rather strong option and I like the cable ties to stop the chain rattling around think I will copy on the 3000S as I still have not done that I guess butterfly nuts and it will work with the quick release bonnet hope this is of help to some
