Just received my renewal quote on a 2002 Boxster S from Royal & Sun Alliance (via Peart).

They've quoted me £1037 (6yrs Protected NCD, £500 XS, Garaged, Age 36, Class 1 Business Use). Before I start phoning around does anyone have any suggestions re who might beat this quote?

They've also told me that "in line with most insurers" the "free" track day cover for PCGB days will be withdrawn from renewal. Instead I'll be expected to pay £100 per event. Any idea if any other insurers still offer "free" track day cover?

Thanks for any help.
John

Try Liverpool Victoria. They quoted me £750 for 993 Turbo, unlimited mileage, 180 days per year European cover, no tracker/alarm system required, no garage required (but it's it one). I'm 40 something with full NCD. I think they do track cover but not sure.

A leaflet from Heritage, enclosed with my recent PCGB Porsche Post, offered free track day insurance, but I don't know what their rates are like. If you want to find out, the address is as follows:

Heritage Insurance - Specialist insurance for Classic Cars

 Regency House,
 97-107 Hagley Road,
 Edgbaston,
 Birmingham,
 B16 8LA,
 Great Britain,
 Tel: 0121 2465050
 Fax: 0121 2468080

Good luck!

No reason to stay with RSA then! I was already planning on changing but that clinches it. If they want to charge me £100 per track day I want to be able to go on any ATDO day I fancy and NOT be restricted to the PCGB...

Remember to search the Trackday forum for latest insurance threads. There are normally quite a few track cover posts.

Don, the £100 does cover any track day, subject to conditions, not just PCGB days.

I just got a quote for my AC Schnitzer from Adrian Flux, and they quoted me £150 extra per year for track day cover, with no change in excess which seems like pretty good value.
Cheaper than anyone else too which is a bonus!

Hmmmn. Cool. But now RSA are in competition with NU who were offering £70 per track day - albeit with a slightly higher premium...

Thanks for the info, though...
