Does anybody know anything about the car on the link below? Interesting looking car and I fancy a new project!

It looks like a reasonable buy at that price and appears to have some good bits fitted.
For my money, however, I'd go for this: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/motorsport/...

looks like one of the old Global GT Light cars but is obviously a home build, scope to develop it is seriously limited which would put me off as well as the potential decisions made by the builder to keep costs low or make life easier... personally I'd go for a Radical Clubsport which can be had for roughly the same money, they might only have the GSX-R1100 engine and not a 'Busa lump but the factory support from Radical would be a big bonus and they are tried and tested, scrutineers know them well and they have some good upgrades available from the Prosport cars!
Clubsport for £9250

Prosport and oodles of spares for £1150

I dont know why posters hiding behind there keyboard, have to rubbish other peoples efforts,i would like it,its a racing car built for a serious championship, looks well built, comes with spares and expertise,i would not dream of attempting to queer the sale of some elses car. Have some dignity and manners.

No one is 'rubbishing' anyone's efforts. The OP asked for opinions as to a specific car as a project and whilst some of the responses may seem a tad harsh, they are nonetheless sound advice from people with experience with these types of vehicles.Oh and its their keyboards not "there"!

I'm not familiar with that particular car, but it seems that it was built by the same guys responsible for the old Hi-Tech and Brytec-Norton.
As the advert suggests, David Peers in particular was quite well respected as a 'Pro-Am' designer of hillclimb cars in a similar mould to David Gould and the late Ian Scott (though of course David Gould has arguably progressed up to a slightly higher league in recent years). His other designs that I am aware of were also aluminium honeycomb monocoques - as the car in the advert is stated to be - so it might not be as heavy and unsophisticated as it appears at first glance, even if it's no longer cutting-edge technology.

The aluminium monocoque is a nice aspect to the car - a friend of mine is building just such a sports racing car - but the car that the OP has linked to looks very much a 'yesterday' car in terms of suspension and aero. And it is pretty ugly.
That's just my opinion, by the way. Not trying to queer anyone's sale. Just thought it was worth saying.
