Want to reduce front plate size from standard to smaller version.

What size could you get away with.

Any pics would help also, but want to order tomorrow morning.

Help please

Mark.

I've got full size on the Chimaera but a reduced one on the Cerbera, not sure of dimensions but it's quite tight around the digits. Never had cop problems if that's what you mean.

I had a 3/4 size on the front of my Griff for four years.
Got a ticket for straying into a bus lane- the f*ckers identified me no problem with a head on camera - no mention of number plate dimensions.

Mine is 40cmsx11cms and it's been there for 3 years trouble free, but I carry the original in the boot because I've just been to a car show Officer. wink

If only had had built that scaffolding a little further out!

That's the one I've used for most of the last three and a half years ... I've been stopped for speeding and stopped for wearing no seatbelt and both times they haven't even mentioned the front plate.

either 9x3 or 16x4.5. i think the 9x3 may be to small.

Are you just screwing them straight into the fibreglass?

Mine has a smaller bespoke plate size & uses motorbike numbers for past 8 years. Screwed into fibreglass with rubber spacers - doesn't restrict airflow, looks more profiled IMO and never been picked up by plod or MOT tester

I just keep the original plate in the boot - it has foam pads on the back that have the imprint of the grille on them quite clearly so if anything is ever said then I will initially just say that it fell of and I heard it hit the underside of the car so stopped and picked it up and there it is...

I pop it on every year for the MOT and it *IS* on at the moment but that's just because I have the grille off to spray it black again and it doesn't look at all pretty with the grille off and just its gaping toothless mouth showing...
