Tribute to our Fallen Brothers (Who cant make it this year)
Discussion
I raise a toast to our friends, comrades and brothers in arms who for whatever reason, be it Childbirth, Health, Work or Female related will not be making the pilgrimage to Mecca this year, we will remember you.
So who's not going?
For what reason?
And will you be moving the TV into the Garden underneath a cheap gazebo and consume unhealthy amounts of Mergues and stumpies at home whilst watching MotorsTV?

a couple of years ago there was thread here of how to simulate the experince at home..
sleep in a tent in the garden for 5 nights
pee in the garden
don't wash
sit in camping chairs for hours
drink lukewarm beer
bbq everything - especially breakfast is the remains of the previous night's dinner
thats about sums it up... can't wait...

don't wash
sit in camping chairs for hours

I tried a version of that last year - stayed up for 24 hours, dteadily drinking stubby bottles of cheap lager. At 4am, i made a jamon beurre, but it only cost a cople of quid - ruined the experience to be honest.sleep in a tent in the garden for 5 nights

We're going this year, but next time i have to miss it i'll try your suggestion above. To add authenticity, i'll burn a fiver every time i have a bad sandwich, and have bbq red sausages for brekkie. In the event of the squits, i will not sit on the toilet, instead i'll hover over it like an imaginary version of the houx, then realise there is no bog roll.
Really looking forwards to this year, i can taste the grit already
