Started this a little while ago

Got the car back this morning, and after counting the money and time spent really need a value put on it for insurance purposes only as its a definate keeper.
So here we go, over the last two or three years its had
New 330mm brake conversion with CP6600 calipers
Diff and uprated drive shafts
Wheel bearings all round
ACT quiet (ha ha) exhaust and manifolds
Clutch inc slave and master cylinders
new original headlights
Head unit and amp
Two sets of 17" RL7's both powder coated on set on toyos the other has federal track day tyres
various parts retrimmed in alcantara
Fully poly bushed suspension arms blasted and powder coated, replaced as required
During the winter its had
Fully rebuilt and powder coated chassis
Gaz Gold shocks overhauled (look like new)
Air con rad replaced
New starter and battery
And finally a fully rebuilt 4.7 motor from Power running 4.2 inlets and green injectors. Still running in and including a 5 year warranty.
The car is a 98 4.2 and has the original interior in good condition and a stone chipped front end.
Any thoughts on a value. Will post photos when it stops raining. It will be a Chatsworth

Sounds like a superb car. Got to be worth more than this
http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/t...

We need to get the values of these cars up. Look at this!
http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/t...

Cerbera was TVR flagship model at the time of the Griff, Chim etc. Why the current values are not reflecting this beats me.

Look forward to the pics, can't do Chatsworth unfortunately.

Its difficult to put a value on a Cerb that`s had work such as this done on it purely because Cerb`s are vastly undervalued currently. At the moment there is no way that you could recoup the investment you have put into your car,but then you didn`t do it to recoup your investment did you? Its got to be a 20k+ car but would you get people to pay that sort of money for it? and i guess you have put a great deal more money into the car than that?

For insurance purposes it is what it would cost to replace with like for like though, not what someone might pay for it..

Richard I know you said you were running in but any ideas of power/ torque ? How does it compare to the 4.2?

Any Cerbera with a proper full off chassis rebuild has got to be £15K+ surely wink

They've all got to be coming up for being done, so that's a major headache out the way.
Add to that all the other parts and the new engine (with warranty?) and insurance value has to be at least £25K as I doubt you'd easily find another like it. Useful if you've all the bills to prove the work done.

Selling - that's got to be a £20K car

As someone that cruises the classifieds on a daily basis, I'd say that a 98 car with new chassis is £15-16K, add on the engine mods (say another £3 to 5K), so £18 to 21K when selling is about right. I don't think brake upgrades etc add to the value significantly on their own - its paintwork, interior, chassis and engine that determine value. For insurance get as high as you can (£25K?) but make sure it is agreed value.
