Straight black 950??

Hi all,

I've recently bought a car that's been re-sprayed. I asked the seller what colour it had been painted and the answer came back "Straight Black 950". What is this? I can't find any refs to it.

Done all the searches I can .....
950 - comes up as a blue
Straight black - not found.

Sounds like a tint off a paint scheme, of course without knowing what manufacturer its not much use. For example the blackest black in my scheme is 980. 950 in my scheme is almost dark grey, 960 slightly darker, 970 is a browny black. Probably best asking again and finding out who painted it.

he may be referring to mipa carbon black, IIRC thats 950 but I could be wrong. I know it's about as black as you get before going to a slight brown tinge. as kidders says find out the manufacturer or the people who painted it.
