Any good guide links out there on how to remove replace the clutch master cylinder. Linkage to foot pedal looks a mystery, clip and nut! Bolts are ok just.

No pictures I'm afraid. As best I can remember the pin that goes through the end of the shaft coming out of the cylinder clips onto the shaft itself. It's hard to see but you should just be able to feel it clipped round the shaft. I think I managed to slip a small flat bladed screwdriver under it to release it. It's pretty tight.

Linkage to the pedal is a Clevis Pin which on mine was dead easy to remove although some are well rusted in place (see below). Removing the master cylinder is easy with a mate but less easy alone as the bolts are not captive so you need to hold one end in the footwell and the other in the engine bay. It can be done solo. I managed it using every extension I had for a 1/2 drive wrench wedged in the footwell with me on a spanner in the engine bay.

Thanks Colin and Simon. Mystery solved. Trying at the mo to renew the leaking slave cylinder. Looks easy but the 1/2in nut on the copper feed pipe to the cylinder is 'gorilla' tight. Don't wish to round it. Needs some hot heat to loosen. Hope.
