European road trip, which car ?

Hi All,
I'm in the nice position of having a choice of three good cars for the annual summer drive down to the Med.
Normally its a no brainer and my Wife knows not to waste her time asking.
This year though is a little different as my Daughter has asked to join us.
Already figured that she wont fit in the boot what with the luggage and enough space for the top.
So, do we use my Wifes Evoque which is a real pleasure to drive and gives 40+mpg but maybe will be a little cramped if she brings a friend.
Use the recently bought CLS which is bigger and simply eats miles, as I just found out driving to Germany.
Or, do we take the Tuscan and get her / them to fly down and we meet them and get a rental car for.
I work away a lot and so the 4 weeks summer holiday is a BIG deal. Not only for the driving of the Tuscan but for being with my Wife for a whole month.
Tuscan is running much better than last year and so I'm itching to let it loose a little, make some noise etc.
I just mentioned it to the better half and her words were, "I want to go in the Tuscan."
OK, sorry, forget it, Tuscan and Rental car sounds best.
(sometimes you just need to right things down and everthing becomes so simple).

By the time you hire a decent size of a family car, the cost could cover you 2nd car of petrol, so you might as well take the Tuscan and the Evoque. When you want to get away from your daugther and have a romantic outing with your better half under the sun, then the Tuscan. When you want a family outing or off road adventure in the rain then the Evoque. Best driving holidays all the petrolheads would wish for.
Funny thing is, it would be pleasure in any one of them.
The Evoque has got very comy seats, big panaramic glass roof, great to drive etc Can even watch the telly when stuck in traffic.
CLS is more a 'going to work' car, no sun roof but still big and comy and again I can sit and watch Top Gear' as I did waiting for the ferry the other week.
The Tuscan speaks for its self with the sense of occasion but it comes with a cost when, like last year, we do about 1600 miles to S.o.Spain or somewhere.
Anyway, looks like were packing the kids off on All Inclusives so Tuscan and on our own.
(If anyone feels we are bad parents, said 'kids' are both in their 20's and just starting their careers or still at Uni so holidays are well earned gifts).
