Just had this exchange with Neill Anderson at TVR re- the maybe/maybe not upgrade from the factory:

Just received:
"Not as yet, we have a new Financial Director and he was enquiring in general for feedback/info but so far only about 25 positive replies from 70 or so people!"
Neill Anderson

sent earlier:
"Sorry to trouble you Neil, any positive news?"

Original mail:

Dear All Prospective Griffith/Chimaera Wheel Kit Customers,

As some of you will be aware the recent take-over of TVR by the Russian businessman Nikolai Smolenski has had quite a positive impact upon the factory and Dealers.

The future of the (much delayed) wheel kits really now is demand dependant.

If you are still interested in the wheel/brake upgrade kit then I would ask that you reply briefly to this e mail with your confirmation that you are still interested in the kit and also the desired wheel colour, either silver or anthracite.

The level of demand will be the major factor in Nikolai deciding whether to go ahead and sanction the procurement of the necessary parts and services etc It is also likely that should the demand be relatively small then the price may also have to increase or alternatively the whole project gets shelved.

I personally hope that your patience will be finally rewarded and that perhaps now some of the past delays in obtaining internal approval for parts procurement become more readily understandable?

I don't have an order in, but I too may be interested in the upgrade and I'm sure there must be others who feel similarly. Is it worth me also ending an email to Neil? I don't want to inundate the guy with un-solicited mails though. Perhaps someone with an existing order could enquire of him the best way for us newbies to proceed ?

I really don't think there would be a problem at all. Neill was very keen for the project to go ahead and so the more interest registered the better.

I totally agree, any interested parties please e-mail Neill direct, I'm sure he will be delighted to hear from you.
Neill used the e-mail as an initial source anyway.
The rest of us who are in need of the upgrade are obviously keen to have as much support as possible.
Can the modulator add a sticky to keep this thread at the top please?

TVR will be considering this at a 'dealer' meeting 8th November. Neill will then report back to us.
