Footy games you played as a kid
Discussion
So we're having a chat about our childhoods and remembering the good old days.
Wembley/Team Wembley/Wembly doubles. 1 player nominated to go in goal, all against all or pairs against pairs. No scoring in the six yard box or else penalties to everyone else, same for a handball. Knockout rounds, 1 player/team elimated each round. player/team has to score 1 or 2 goals to go through to the next round.
Favourite memory - the ball goes wide a long way behind the goal or near to the corner flag for example. Keeper's ball, if you can be bothered to get it, otherwise 'play on'.
World cup. Players start off with an equal number of points, first player in goal starts with 1 point extra. Can only score with a volley in the 18 yard box, header in the six yard box, or half volley outside the 18 yard box. If it goes over then the player who shot goes in goal, if the keeper makes a clean catch, the shooter goes in goal, if a goal is scored, keeper loses a point.
s
t. Basically squash against a section wall. If you miss or fail to reach the wall, you get the S, then the H and so on, until basically you're the s
ttest player.
So do kids still play these games? What games did you play when you were younger?
I'd bloody love a game of Wembley. Good times
ETA, just having a kick about and then someone shouts 'next goal wins'...

Singles/Doubles - Same as Wembley described above. Our rules were one goal for every round until the semis and final where it was two goals.
Heads and Volleys
Footie tennis - played on tennis courts, basically tennis but with a footie and you can use your head or feet
One touch one bounce - Had to keep the ball in the air using anything but hands. You were allowed one bounce and only one touch. If someone messed up due to a poor ball from yourself then you went out. You could however "snipe" someone by making it purposefully hard to return within the rules. Someone was eliminated each time until there was a winner.
Red Arse - A game of one touch and one bounce but the losers from each round lined up against a wall with their arses facing the winner. The winner then had three shots to hit someone.

How could I forget "fouling football"...completely f
king nuts and dangerous. A normal game of footie but of course you could kick the s
t out of someone!
I remember after one brutal game the afternoon-bell had gone (so lunch time was over) and this one kid DID NOT MOVE, we could all see him out of the window. Finally a teacher strolled past and within 10 minutes we had the air ambulance flying over us looking to land. Poor kid broke his leg and nobody noticed!

We lived on a quiet T-junction with a long low wall at an angle to the junction. Wall only about 2 foot high. Game was called slam. Each takes it in turns to bounce ball off the wall. If yo missed you were out. Game developed into chicken slam whereby if you missed the wall you had to stand I front of it. You could either hit the wall or the plater for a legitimate hit to stay in the game. Great memories but could be painful at times.
im 21, and my friends and i still play wacky 7's, its probably got different names depending where you come from.
starts on 7 goals, one person starts in goals, you can only score by header or volley, if you miss or the goalkeeper catches it you become the goalkeeper, if you score the score comes down one to 6 and so on. the person in goals when the final goal is scored has to turn around on the goal line while we all take penalty kicks at his backside, if you hit him from the penalty spot you get another shot from a yard closer and repeated untill everyone has missed.
also a header or a volley from the initial kick out by the goalkeeper counts as 2 goals, often cries of "first timer" will be heard.

Wembley AKA 60 seconds. One person goes in goal and counts for 60 seconds, make a target e.g. circle on the wall and person one kick each, person who misses the target the most goes in goals. We have to score 7 times including one header. Once 7 letters are up person in goal has to turn around and we have to try and hit him with the ball from a distance.
One bounce. Ball can only bounce once or your out.
One touch, make a target and you have to hit that target using only one touch, doesn't matter where the ball is, lose 5 lives and your out.
My favourite one is when you play kick ups. You start of by doing 1 kick up, next player does 1 until every one has done 1 each, next round you do 2 kick ups, next round 3 etc etc. 3 lives each.
