400SE interesting problem!
Discussion
Hi
My friends have my 400SE at present and thay also have another 400SE and they have been doing some comparisons.
The reason why is due to the fact the other car goes well but not as well as they were expecting! Hence it caused them to do some comparisons with mine!
Now apart from the obvious differances like air con and head light washers the other car doesn't have any engine id's etc the most obvious thing is the plenum has no markings and the air inlet is smaller than mine! OK not having any engine size on the plenum is not unusal but a smaller throttle throat is!
So what do people think?

Hi
Thanks for your thoughts thats the same as mine in fact!
Interesting thing is the plenum throat being smaller it sounds like it a 350i or simillar as they have checked it and its the same size as my 350iS2 plenum!
I just hope the owner didn't pay to much or can sort it out in fact how would you go about sorting out what the engine actual is, with out major stripping etc?
I am glad its not mine!
