Frank Turner, tape deck heart

I've had the rest of the albums have been on almost continuous rotation for the last year or two, new albums just come out a week or so ago... some genuinely good tracks on it, but what seems like a quite a bit of filler too, not quite as poetic lyrically and not as much bitterness or passion maybe.

Anyone else a fan?

Yep, I have this as well. As you say, some genuinely good songs and overall a strong album. It grows on me with each listen. Considering that there are 18 tracks on the deluxe version, I don't think that there is much in the way of filler, but some tracks are definitely slow burners which need a few listens.

Went to see him in Birmingham on Wednesday and really enjoyed the show. He only played a few songs from the new album though - would have liked to have heard more.

Yeah kinda a bit of a downer this album , not as good as his others tbh yeah just a filler
